On 30 June 2016, H.E. Mr. Soonthorn Chaiyindeepum, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand, paid a courtesy call on Dr. Khalid Al-Khanji, Vice President for Student Affairs of Qatar University, to discuss about the educational cooperation between the two countries and possible academic cooperation between Qatar University and universities in Thailand. H.E. Mr. Soonthorn Chaiyindeepum also took this opportunity to ask for Qatar University’s kind support in admitting Thai students who are interested to pursue their undergraduate degree at the University both on scholarship and non-scholarship basis. After the discussion, H.E. Mr. Soonthorn Chaiyindeepum presented books about traditional Thai medicine wisdom and Sufficiency Economic Philosophy of H. M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand to the University for dissemination and use as appropriated for the learning of students in related field.
