On 24 July 2015, H.E. Mr. Soonthorn Chaiyindeepum, Ambassador of Thailand, met with Prof. Dr. Ravinder Mamtani, Associate Dean for Global & Public Health, Weill Cornell Medicine - Qatar, to discuss possible cooperation opportunity on medical research between the University and medical institutions in Thailand. On this occasion, H.E. Mr. Soonthorn Chaiyindeepum also presented books about Sufficiency Economy Philosophy of H.M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand and traditional Thai medicine wisdom to the Weill Cornell Medicine - Qatar for the learning of students.

 

On 25 July 2015, H.E. Mr. Soonthorn Chaiyindeepum met with Dr. James Reardon-Anderson, Dean of Georgetown University - School of Foreign Service in Qatar, to promote education cooperation in the future and exchange views on current world affairs. On this occasion, H.E. Mr. Soonthorn Chaiyindeepum also presented books about Sufficiency Economy Philosophy of H.M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand and history of Thailand and Southeast Asia for the University for the learning of students. 

 

Dr. James Reardon-Anderson also took this opportunity to compliments Ms. Mueanrawee Thaneetho, Thai Government scholarship recipient who currently studies at Georgetown University - School of Foreign Service in Qatar, for her role in enriching class room discourse. Dr. James Reardon-Anderson wished that the Royal Thai Government will support more scholarship to students like her to pursue their education at the University in the future.
