NOTICE

 

                    Department of Marine and Coastal Resources, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Kingdom of Thailand, introduced a  new measure to conserve the environment and protect natural resources in 24 beaches and coastal areas in Thailand as appear in the attached document. 

                    The measure prohibits the following acts:

                    1. Smoking or disposing of cigarettes, except in designated areas;

                    2. Disposing of all forms of wastes, including toxic waste such as polystyrene substance, plastic and leftover oil, except in designated areas;

                    3. Any act that can cause damage to the coastal areas.

                    Those who violate abovementioned measure will face one year imprisonment or a fine of 100,000 thai baht or both.
