Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar met with the Secretary-General of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue

On 7 August 2023, H.E. Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, met with Dr. Pornchai Danvivathana, the Secretary-General of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD), on the sidelines of Secretary-General’s visit to Qatar. During the visit, the Secretary-General met with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar to discuss preparations for the upcoming 3rd ACD Summit scheduled for October 2023.

During this meeting, H.E. Ambassador took this opportunity to deliberate on ACD's initiatives, explore potential avenues for cooperation to advance Thailand’s interests within ACD framework, and also to examine potential venue that Qatar, as the host country, could consider for the Summit. Founded in 2002, with Thailand being one of its founding members, the ACD aims to serve as a comprehensive cooperation framework spanning all geographical regions of Asia. Its objectives are to leverage the diverse strengths and potentials of member countries in order to enhance mutual trust, boost competitiveness, reinforce the ability to compete, and promote the well-being of the population.
