On 4 July 2023, H.E. Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of Thailand to the State of Qatar, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Nopadol Penglong, President of the Thai Community in Qatar, on the occasion of his assumption of duty, at the Dusit Doha Hotel. Both sides discussed the ongoing and possible future cooperation to support the activities of the Thai Community in Qatar and strengthen the people-to-people ties between Thailand and Qatar. The Royal Thai Embassy, Doha, has been actively involved in supporting the Thai Community in Qatar through various initiatives, including Beach Cleanup Volunteer Activity and activities to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. In this occasion, H.E. Ambassador congratulated Mr. Nopadol on his nomination as a “Volunteer Consul” in Qatar.
Furthermore, H.E. Ambassador took the opportunity to meet with Thais working at the Dusit Doha Hotel. The Royal Thai Embassy, Doha, reaffirms its steadfast commitments to supporting the growth of Thai businesses, improving the role and welfare of Thai workers, and enhancing the well-being of the Thai community in the state of Qatar.
