From 9 – 12 December 2024, H.E. Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, alongside his spouse and volunteer Thai parents, participated in the International Week at the American School of Doha. This event, organized to enhance knowledge about countries and cultures from around the world, also aimed to raise awareness about the importance of cultural diversity.

The Royal Thai Embassy, in collaboration with volunteer Thai parents, played an active role in organizing an exhibition about Thailand. The exhibition featured a range of engaging activities, including tastings of Thai food, desserts and drinks, a Thai language workshop, demonstrations of traditional Thai dance, a Muay Thai (Thai boxing) showcase, opportunities to dress in Thai costumes, and informative sessions answering questions about Thailand. These activities sought to raise awareness of Thailand’s rich culture heritage and foster a deeper understanding of Thai identity among international youth. The Thailand exhibition attracted students of various grade levels of the American School of Doha which hosts over 3,000 students from 80 countries around the world.

The Royal Thai Embassy remains committed to promoting Thai culture and identity and looks forward to further collaboration with all sectors to enhance the visibility and appreciation of Thailand and its culture in Qatar.
