On 13 December 2023, H.E. Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, attended a ceremony to donate books to the Qatar National Library, along with Ambassadors and diplomatic representatives from ASEAN member states in Qatar. During the ceremony, the Royal Thai Embassy contributed 10 books on Thai history, culture, cuisine, and sustainable development under Bio-Circular-Green Economy policy. As part of the occasion, Ambassadors and the ASEAN diplomatic corps also engaged in discussions with Dr. Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al-Kawari, Minister of State and President of Qatar National Library.

The event was organized by the ASEAN Committee in Doha with the objective of promoting mutual understanding of ASEAN’s role among the people of Qatar and strengthening cooperation between Qatar and ASEAN member states across various sectors. Currently, there are seven Embassies representing ASEAN member states in the state of Qatar, namely Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
