On 10 December 2023, H.E. Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Doha, attended a briefing by the Local Organizing Committee of the Asian Football Cup (AFC) 2023 for diplomatic corps on the AFC Asian Cup 2023. The tournament is scheduled to take place from 12 January to 10 February 2024, in Doha. The Thai national football team will participate in the  upcoming AFC Asian Cup 2023, marking their 8^th appearance. Their best performance was a third-place finish in 1972.

The Royal Thai Embassy invites everyone to attend and support the Thai national football team in the AFC Asian Cup 2023. During the Group Stage, Thailand will face Kyrgyzstan on 16 January 2024, at 17.30 hrs., Oman on 21 January 2024, at 17.30 hrs, and Saudi Arabia on 25 January 2024, at 18.00 hrs.
