On 25 September 2023, Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, along with Embassy officials and staff, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Ambassador Muhammad Abdullah Saeed Al-Subaei, Director of the Department of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, on the occasion of the Ambassador’s assumption of duty. During the meeting, both sides discussed the overall bilateral relations between Thailand Qatar, cooperation in consular affairs, and ways to enhance people-to-people relations. They also discussed the progress of the draft Agreement on exemption of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and official/special passports between Thailand and Qatar. Moreover, H.E. Ambassador expressed his appreciation for the cordial cooperation with the Department of Consular Affairs over the years, while the Director reaffirmed his readiness to support and continue working closely with the Royal Thai Embassy in its endeavors.
