On 5 October 2023, H.E. Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Mohamed bin Ahmed Twar Al Kuwari, 1st Vice Chairman of the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI), on the occasion of the Ambassador’s assumption of duty.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on the overall bilateral relations between Thailand and Qatar and discussed ways to promote trade and investment between the two countries. They also explored opportunities for the exchange of visits from government representatives and business delegations. H.E. Ambassador commended the prominent role of QCCI in enhancing interactions between the Thai and Qatari private sectors. He also extended an invitation to QCCI to lead Qatari business delegations to Thailand to explore economic opportunities, particularly during the upcoming trade fairs in Thailand in 2024. The Vice Chairman of QCCI expressed full support for the Embassy's endeavors, particularly in facilitating business matching activities, organizing trade and investments events, and enhancing economic cooperation between both countries.
