On 9 October 2023, H.E. Dr. Ahmad bin Nasser Al Fadala, Secretary-General of the Shura Council of Qatar, met with H.E. Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, at the Royal Thai Embassy. During the meeting, both sides discussed the close bilateral relations between Thailand and Qatar and ways to advance cooperation at bilateral and multilateral levels. The Shura Council has also established Qatar-Thai Parliamentary Friendship Group to further strengthen cooperation between legislative bodies based on mutual interests.

H.E. Ambassador also commended the constructive role of Qatar in addressing international issues and expressed his appreciation for the Secretary General's visit to the Embassy, while H.E. Secretary General reaffirmed the Shura Council's readiness to working closely with the Royal Thai Embassy in its future endeavors.
