On 12 December 2023, H.E. Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, met with Dr. Khalid bin Mubarak Al-Shafi, Editor-in-Chief of The Peninsula, Qatar's news agency established in 1996. The meeting served as an opportunity for H.E. Ambassador to acquaint with the Editor-in-Chief and to learn about the news agency’s operations. During the visit, H.E. Ambassador expressed gratitude for The Peninsula's consistent coverage of Embassy activities and events.

Recognizing the crucial role of the media in promoting collaboration between Thailand and Qatar, the Embassy aims to enhance awareness of Thailand's roles and contributions in diverse areas such as politics, economics, culture, and tourism, as well as people-to-people connection.
