On 6 September 2023, the Royal Thai Embassy inaugurated the “English Class for Daily Life” program for Thai students in Qatar. H.E. Mr. Sira Swangsilp, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand, welcomed the students to the weekly program. In 2023, a total of 21 Thai students, who are currently studying at Institute of Religious Studies (Al Maahad Addeeni) Preparatory and Secondary School for Boys under the scholarships of the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf), participated in the program. During the event, H.E. Ambassador praised the academic achievements of these students, who have represented the school in various national competitions. Particularly noteworthy is Mr. Anas Samsayyan, a Grade 11 student, who secured first place and a gold medal at the state-level Math Olympiad competition in May 2023.

The Royal Thai Embassy has continuously organized this English program for Thai students since 2017 (except during the COVID-19 pandemic). The primary objective of the program is to enhance student’s English communication skills, which will not only benefit their daily lives but also improve their educational opportunities and future career prospects. The program aims to contribute to the overall well-being and development of Thai Muslim students in Qatar.
