Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand led Delegation from Chulalongkorn University’s Halal Science Center to Enhance Collaboration on Human Development with Qatar Foundation Executives

On 13 September 2023, H.E. Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, together with Dr. Winai Dahlan, the Founding Director of the Halal Science Center, Chulalongkorn University (HSC), Dr. Anat Denyingyhot, Assistant Director of HSC, and Embassy officials, met with executives from Qatar Foundation (QF). The QF team included Mrs. Marchaille H. Al Naimi, Executive Officer of the Vice Chairperson and CEO Office and CEO of QF, Dr. Michael J. Benedik, Provost of Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), and Dr. Rachid Zaffou, Senior Planning and Research Director of HBKU.

During the meeting, both sides discussed the crucial role of educational institutions in human resource development to address current and future challenges. They also explored ways to expand collaborative networks among faculty members, scholars, researchers, and students to further their mutual interests and support the development agendas of their respective countries. Following the meeting, the QF Team provided an overview of QF’s missions and conducted a tour of QF and Education City.

The Royal Thai Embassy underscores the importance of promoting exchanges and networking initiatives between Thailand and Qatar, particularly with the Qatar Foundation. QF’s missions span across various fields, from science, technology, innovation, and education to sport developments, encompassing the preservation of local wisdom and heritage, as well as the enhancement of the quality of life for vulnerable groups. The Embassy is committed to further expanding cooperation between Thailand and Qatar in enhancing human resource development that aligns with current and future challenges at both the national and international levels.
