On 31 January 2024, H.E. Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, met with Mr. Malluloh Abdulrahman Al Jaber, Director of the Department of Dawah and Religious Guidance, Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs. Mr. Abdulla Rashid Al-Nuaimi, Director of Institute for Religious Studies Preparatory and Secondary School for Boys, and Mr. Khaled Waleed Ali Al-Hammadi, Head of the Scholarship Students Affairs, were also in attendance. During the meeting, both sides discussed the well-being of over 20 Thai Muslim students currently studying at Institute for Religious Studies Preparatory and Secondary School for Boys under scholarships from the Ministry. They also explored potential cooperation to enhance the skills and capabilities of the Thai students. Additionally, H.E. Ambassador underscored the Royal Thai Government's commitment to fostering diversity, peaceful coexistence among all religions, and the well-being of Thai students studying overseas.

The Royal Thai Embassy reaffirms its commitment to enhancing skills and capabilities of Thai youths in Qatar through various activities and initiatives. Since 2017, the Embassy has continuously organized “English for Daily Life” programme for Thai Muslim students in Qatar, aiming to improve student’s English communication skills.
