On 10 August 2023, H.E. Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, along with officials of the Royal Thai Embassy, met and hosted a luncheon for 10 Muay Thai (Thai boxing) instructors in Qatar at Khaosan Restaurant. These instructors have been professionally instructing Muay Thai in Qatar for durations ranging from 1 to 6 years, catering to a diverse audience, including Qatari military personnel, students in Qatar's educational institutions, and international residents who have developed a keen interest in Muay Thai.

During this gathering, H.E. Ambassador conversed and inquired about the instructors' professional experiences and their well-being. He also explored ways in which the Royal Thai Embassy could support the endeavors of these Muay Thai instructors and contribute to the promotion of Muay Thai within the Qatari community. Such collaboration strongly aligns with Qatar's commitment to sports diplomacy, which stands as one of the key areas of cooperation between Thailand and Qatar.
