On 12 December 2024, H.E. Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, presided over the handover ceremony for the grand prize of the "Thai Souq Fest 2024: A Celebration of Flavors, Culture, and Muay Thai.” The prize, a round-trip tickets between Qatar and Thailand, sponsored by Qatar Airways, was awarded to the lucky winner of the raffle draw held during the event on 30 November 2024. Mr. Assad Ali, Senior Corporate Account Manager, represented the airline in presenting the prize alongside the Ambassador.

The Royal Thai Embassy remains committed to promoting Thailand’s tourism and strengthening its cultural and economic presence in Qatar. Events such as the Thai Souq Fest 2024 and participation in Qatar Travel Mart 2024 are part of the Embassy's ongoing efforts to showcase Thailand’s rich heritage. Thailand continues to be a favored destination among  Qataris and expatriates in Qatar. Currently, Qatar Airways operates direct flights between Doha and Bangkok/Phuket with a total of 8 flights per day.
