On 9 August 2023, the Royal Thai Embassy in Doha organized a ceremony to commemorate the Birthday Anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother. The event took place at the Chancery and was presided over by H.E. Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar. Joined by Embassy's officials’ spouse, staffs and members of the Thai community in Qatar, H.E. Ambassador led the gathering in paying homage to Her Majesty The Queen Mother and participated in a candle-lighting ceremony. Additionally, H.E. Ambassador and all attendees signed a book of well-wishes for Her Majesty The Queen Mother's birthday.

Following the commemorative ceremonies, H.E. Ambassador presented support fund to the Thai Community in Qatar. The fund was received by Mr. Nopadol Penglong, President of the Thai Community in Qatar. Additionally, another support fund was also presented to the Thai Language and Culture School in Qatar, and it was received by Miss Kongkan Chitratanachinda, Principal of the Thai Language and Culture School in Qatar.
