On 7 June 2024, H.E. Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, presented a financial contribution from the Royal Thai Government to three key Thai Groups in Qatar: the Thai Community in Qatar, the Thai Language and Thai Culture School, and the Muay Thai Trainers’ Group in Qatar. This support is aimed at bolstering the efforts of these groups in strengthening unity and promoting well-being within the Thai community in Qatar, as well as enhancing and promoting Thai culture in Qatar.
Over the years, the Royal Thai Embassy has organized various activities, such as ASEAN Community Sports Day and supporting the Thai Language and Thai Culture School. This year, the Embassy also supported the establishment of a group of Muay Thai Trainers’ Group in Qatar. This initiative aims to promote the art of Thai boxing and showcase Thailand's rich cultural heritage in Qatar on various occasions.
