On 17 April 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy in Doha organized a series of educational and environmental awareness activities for Thai students studying in Qatar. As part of the program, the Embassy led a group of 14 Thai high school students from the Institute of Religious Studies Preparatory and Secondary School for Boys in Doha, who are recipients of scholarships from the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs of Qatar. The visit enabled students to explore various academic programs and gain firsthand information on the university’s admissions process, helping to inspire their aspirations for higher education in Qatar. Furthermore, the students also participated in a field trip to Al Thakira Mangrove Forest, where they engaged in a range of conservation-focused learning activities. These included a guided tour to explore the local mangrove ecosystem, mangrove tree planting, and waste collection in the surrounding area.
The Royal Thai Embassy remains committed to empowering Thai students in Qatar by supporting their personal and academic growth, while also instilling a deep-rooted awareness of environmental stewardship. These efforts contribute meaningfully to the development of high-quality human capital and align with the Embassy’s broader collaboration with Qatari stakeholders on environmental preservation, particularly in the area of coastal and mangrove conservation, in alignment with the Qatar National Vision 2030.
