Non-Immigrant ED visa is issued to applicants who wish to enter the Kingdom to study, to come on a work study tour or observation tour, to participate in projects, seminars or internship programme, to attend a conference or training course, and to study as a foreign Buddhist monk.

Duration of Visa Process:E-Visa processing time is up to 10 working days and up to 14 working days if required documents are incomplete.

Apply for visa: https://thaievisa.go.th/ (from 19 March 2024 onward)

Visa Fee: 300 QAR (single entry) / 750 QAR (multiple entries)

 

Required Documents:

  1. Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document (Passport/travel document must have validity of more than 6 months on travel date)
  2. Photograph taken within the last six months
  3. Document indicating current location (Valid Residency Permit Card/QID)
  4. Travel booking confirmation
  5. Financial evidence e.g. bank statements, sponsorship letter covering tuition fees and living expenses
  6. For secondary school students: Letter from relevant authority under the Ministry of Education or International School / For university students: Letter from University / For short course/ language course students: Letter from relevant authority under the Ministry of Education / For participants of seminars by international organizations: Note verbale from the international organization
  7. For secondary and university students: Letter confirming enrolment details from school signed by authorized person together with a copy of ID card or passport of the signer

 

Important Note:

  1. Visa fee is not refundable.
  2. At the port of entry, foreigners entering Thailand under the Non-Immigrant ED category need to provide proof of sufficient finances for the duration of stay in Thailand.
  3. Embassy staff/employees are not allowed to fill out any visa application form.
  4. The Embassy reserves the right to approve or disapprove visa application without any prejudice.
  5. The granting of visa is only a pre-entry clearance. It is not a permission to enter Thailand. Immigration authorities at the port of entry still reserve the right to refuse the entry into Thailand of any travellers with valid visa issued.
  6. Applicant from the Specified Passport Holders who do not have home/ residence country in Qatar is advised to apply for a Non-Immigrant visa only at the Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate-General in their home/residence country or at the designated Royal Thai Embassy. Therefore, travellers are advised to contact the nearest Thai Embassy or Consulate-General to find out where they may apply for a visa to Thailand before departure.
