1. ELIGIBLE TRAVELLERS

 

1.1 FOR VISIT OF UP TO 30 DAYS 

Passport holders from the following countries/territory are not required to obtain a visa when entering Thailand for tourism purposes and will be permitted to stay in the Kingdom for a period of not exceeding 30 days on each visit:

Tourist Visa Exemption Scheme Andora, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Brazil, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Kuwait, Latvia, Liechtenstein. Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Maldives, Mauritius, Monaco, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Peru, The Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkiye, Ukraine, UAE, UK, USA, Vietnam

**Tourist Visa Exemption Scheme for holders of India and Taiwan passport/travel document from 10 November 2023 - 10 May 2024** The Royal Thai Government has approved a tourist visa exemption scheme for holders of ordinary passport or travel documents of India and Taiwan to enter and stay in Thailand for a period not exceeding 30 days. The scheme will be effective from 10 November 2023 - 10 May 2024. 

**Tourist Visa Exemption Scheme for holders of Kazakhstan passport/travel document from 1 March 2024 - 31 August 2024** The Royal Thai Government has approved a tourist visa exemption scheme for holders of ordinary passport or travel documents of Kazakhstan to enter and stay in Thailand for a period not exceeding 30 days. The scheme will be effective from 1 March 2024 - 31 August 2024.   

1.2 FOR VISIT OF UP TO 90 DAYS

Passport holders from the following countries/territory are not required to obtain a visa when entering Thailand for tourism purposes and will be permitted to stay in the Kingdom for a period of not exceeding 90 days on each visit: 

Bilateral Agreement arrangment Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Korea, Peru

**Tourist Visa Exemption Scheme for holders of Russian passport/travel document from 1 November 2023 - 30 April 2024** The Royal Thai Government has approved a unilateral and temporary tourist visa exemption scheme for holders of Russian passports or travel documents, entering Thailand from 1 November 2023 - 30 April 2024, to be able to stay in Thailand for a period of not exceeding 90 days. 

 

1.3 FOR VISIT OF UP TO 14 DAYS 

Passport holders from the following countries/territory are not required to obtain a visa when entering Thailand for tourism purposes and will be permitted to stay in the Kingdom for a period of not exceeding 14 days on each visit:


Bilateral Agreement arrangment
 Cambodia, Myanmar

NB: Tourist Visa Exemption does not apply to foreigners holding Travel Document for Aliens issued by the above countries.

 

2. VISA EXEMPTION CONDITIONS

2.1 Entering the Kingdom through land/sea boarder checkpoints under Tourist Visa Exemption Scheme is permitted only twice in a calendar year, except nationals of Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia and Singapore who may enter Thailand through such checkpoints more than twice in a calendar year. 

2.2 Travellers entering Thailand under the Tourist Visa Exemption Scheme must possess adequate cash of or equivalent to 20,000 Baht per person or 40,000 Baht per family.
 

3. VISA-ON-ARRIVAL 

Passport holders from the following countries and territories may apply for visas at the immigration checkpoints on arrival for the purpose of tourism and will be granted to stay in Thailand for a period not exceeding 15 days:

Bhutan, Bulgaria, China, Cyprus, Ethiopia, Fiji, Georgia, India, Kazakhstan, Malta, Mexico, Nauru, Papua New Guinea, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Uzbekistan, Vanuatu

Requirements for Visa-on-Arrival

- Application form, fully completed (this form can be obtained at the designated ports of entry into Thailand as listed below)
- One recent photo
- Proof of means of living expenses at the amount of 10,000 Baht per person and 20,000 Baht per family accordingly.
- Passport with at least 1 month validity and at least 2 blank pages
- Fully paid onward travel tickets which are usable within 30 days of the date of entry.
- Fee of 2,000 Baht (cash only in Thai Baht/non refundable)


Visitors who enter the Kingdom with Visa on Arrival generally cannot file an application for extension of stay, except in special cases of illness which prevents them from travelling.
