The Royal Thai Embassy, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage and the Visual Art Center and the Foto United Club of Thailand, is organized “Arts of Thailand” Exhibition at Katara Cultural Village (building no. 19) between 2-6 December 2013. The exhibition consisted of two well-known works of art from two famous Thai artists: Assistant Professor Yanawit Kunchaethong’s “Print from Forest” paintings and Mr. Chamni Thipmanee’s “Silent Monsoon: Echoes from the Southern Wind” photographs. Their works are based on the common concepts of simplicity and sincere expression. Mr. Chamni’s photographs are in black and white to reflect the simplicity of tough life in the mystic southern Thailand landscapes which conjures up a powerful sense of belonging and loss. For Assistant Professor Yanawit’s paintings, he used the colour from natural materials to reveal the actual colour of nature. In other words, the colours that appear in his art are pure and free from all contaminants.

Prior to the art exhibition, an organic painting workshop with Assistant Professor Yanawit Kunchaethong as instructor was organized at Katara Cultural Village during 26 - 30 November 2013.
