On 20 November 2016 at 19.00 hrs., the Royal Thai Embassy and the Thai community in Qatar held a ceremony to pay respect to the late His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The Ceremony commenced with H.E. Mr. Soonthorn Chaiyindeepum, Ambassador of Thailand, led 90 Thai nationals and Friends of Thailand in Qatar in taking an oath of allegiance to the three pillars of Thailand namely the Nation, Religion and Monarchy in front of His Majesty’s portrait. After that, attendants lit their candles and sang the Royal Anthem as a homage to the late King. On this occasion, a book of condolences remained opened for signing by the Thai nationals and Friends of Thailand. 

 

To mark the 50th day of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s passing, the Embassy will hold a prayer and meditation ceremony on 2 December 2016 at Futsal Hall, Al Wakra Sports Complex, Al Wakra City.
