On 26 September 2022, H.E. Nathapol Khantahiran, Ambassador of Thailand to the State of Qatar, met with the delegation from Bumrungrad Hospital led by Dr. Nipat Kulabkaw, Chief Business Development Officer, to discuss Thailand-Qatar collaboration in medical tourism. Currently, Thailand is one of the top destinations for Qataris for medical treatment and wellness tourism. Bumrungrad Hospital is a leading private hospital in Thailand that welcomes around 3,000 Qatari patients per year, the second highest number from the Middle East after Kuwait. Both sides have also discussed and exchanged views on how to further promote Thailand's medical and wellness tourism in Qatar.
