On 27 August 2023, H.E. Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, along with his spouse and embassy officials, visited Aspire Academy, Qatar's leading sports institution. During this visit, H.E. Ambassador had the opportunity to meet with Mr. Ivan Bravo, Director General of Aspire Academy, to discuss Qatar's systematic policies in sports industry and ways to enhance cooperation in sports and athlete capacity development between Thailand and Qatar. H.E. Ambassador expressed profound admiration for Aspire Academy's pivotal role in nurturing human resources and establishing world-class infrastructure that promotes the growth of the sports industry, not only at a national and regional level but also on the global stage. This exemplifies Qatar’s commitment as outlined in Qatar National Vision 2030, where sports development is a cornerstone among the four key pillars of human resource development. This visit also symbolizes the ongoing collaboration to promote and strengthen cooperation in sports development between Thailand and Qatar.
