On 16 December 2025, H.E. Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, delivered Thailand’s national statement at the 11th Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption (COSP11), held in Doha from 15–19 December 2025. In his statement, H.E. Ambassador Sira underscored Thailand’s role and continued efforts in combating corruption, promoting transparency, strengthening law enforcement, advancing international cooperation, and promoting the effective implementation of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC).

In addition, on 17 December 2025, Ambassador Sira hosted a working dinner with H.E. Ms. Pattarat Hongtong, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Austria and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nations Office and other International Organizations in Vienna, in her capacity as Head of the Thai Delegation to COSP11. During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on Thailand’s role and ongoing efforts to promote good governance and prevent corruption, as well as on ways to enhance international cooperation, including the exchange of information and best practices under the UNCAC. The Conference brought together more than 2,500 participants from various sectors, including representatives of the 192 States Parties to the Convention, regional and international organizations, anti-corruption experts, and representatives from the private sector, civil society, and youth groups.

The United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) aims to promote systematic and effective international cooperation in the fight against corruption, with particular emphasis on preventive measures, law enforcement, and international cooperation. Thailand signed the UNCAC on 9 December 2003 and deposited its instrument of ratification on 1 March 2011.
