On 1 October 2023, H.E. Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, along with Embassy official and staff, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Khalid bin Shaheen Al Ghanim, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs of Qatar, on the occasion of the Ambassador’s assumption of duty. During the meeting, both sides discussed the overall bilateral relations between Thailand and Qatar, the peaceful co-existence of Muslims within Thailand's multicultural society since the 17th century and preparations for exchange visits between our High-Level delegations. Moreover, H.E. Ambassador expressed his appreciation for the Ministry's consistent support for the Thai students studying in Qatar under the Ministry's scholarship and the generous support provided to Thailand's Fatoni University and Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani Hospital under the Peace City Project. The Assistant Undersecretary welcomes H.E. Ambassador to Qatar and reaffirmed the Ministry's readiness to working closely with the Royal Thai Embassy in its future endeavors.
