On 3 November 2026, Ms. Pensom Lertsithichai, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, accompanied by officials and staff of the Royal Thai Embassy, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Ghanem bin Shaeen bin Ghanem Al Ghanim, Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs of the State of Qatar, on the occasion of the Ambassador’s assumption of duties.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on the overall relations between Thailand and Qatar, as well as ways to strengthen cooperation in Islamic studies and Arabic language studies. H.E. Ambassador expressed her appreciation to the Qatari side for its support for educational institutions in Thailand and for providing scholarships to Thai youth to pursue their secondary education in Qatar. H.E. Minister commended Thailand for its harmonious society, where people live together peacefully with openness and respect for religious and cultural diversity. He also reaffirmed readiness to further expand cooperation with Thailand.
