On 1 November 2026, H.E. Ms. Pensom Lertsithichai, Ambassador of Thailand to State of Qatar, accompanied by an official of the Royal Thai Embassy, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad bin Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, Minister of Culture of the State of Qatar, on the occasion of the Ambassador’s assumption of duties.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on the overall relations between Thailand and Qatar, as well as ways to promote bilateral cultural cooperation. H.E. Ambassador commended Qatar’s commitment to preserving and promoting its cultural heritage and local identity, as reflected in the country’s way of life and various cultural activities. H.E. Minister praised Thailand for its rich cultural diversity and its outstanding efforts in preserving and passing on its local cultural heritage to future generations. Both sides reaffirmed their mutual commitments to enhance cultural exchanges and cooperations between the two countries, especially through the bilateral Memorandum of Understanding on Cultural Cooperation signed since 2012.
