On 2 August 2023, H.E. Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, met with H.E. Ambassador Bader Omar Al Dafa, Commissioner General of Doha Expo 2023. During the meeting, both sides explored ways to enhance potential cooperation during the upcoming Horticultural Expo, "Doha Expo 2023," scheduled to take place from 2 October 2023 to 28 March 2024, at Al Bidda Park, under the theme "Green Desert, Better Environment." The event is expected attract more than 3 million visitors during its six-month duration.
On this occasion, H.E. Ambassador Al Dafa reiterated Qatar’s invitation to Thailand to participate in the said event. H.E. Ambassador Swangsilpa reaffirmed the commitment to presenting Thailand in a suitable and various fields of cooperation such as Thai culture, sustainable development, food security enhancement, as well as opportunities for trade, investment, smart agricultural technologies, and addressing climate change.
