Ambassador of Thailand to Qatar Paid a Courtesy Call on Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs of Qatar

On 28 April 2025, H.E. Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Ibrahim bin Ali bin Issa Al Hassan Al-Mohannadi, Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs of the State of Qatar.
 
During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation between Thailand and Qatar in the areas of legal and judicial affairs, including the progress of the draft Memorandum of Understanding on Legal and Judicial Cooperation between the two Ministries of Justice. H.E. Ambassador commended Qatar’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the effectiveness of its legal and judicial systems, and reaffirmed Thailand’s readiness to engage in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice of Qatar, particularly through the Center for Legal and Judicial Studies. This includes the exchange of personnel and the organization of capacity-building programmes addressing contemporary legal challenges. H.E. Minister Al-Mohannadi reiterated Qatar’s commitment to advancing bilateral legal and judicial collaboration in a concrete and sustained manner.
 
The Royal Thai Embassy in Doha reaffirms its strong commitment to promoting multifaceted cooperation between Thailand and Qatar, including in the legal and judicial fields, which form a key foundation of the close and enduring friendship between the two nations, especially as the year 2025 marks the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Qatar.
