On 18 October 2026, H.E. Ms. Pensom Lertsithichai, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, along with Embassy officials, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Dr. Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi, Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, on the occasion of the Ambassador’s assumption of duties. Both sides exchanged views on overall bilateral relations between Thailand and Qatar and discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation, including promoting high-level exchanges.

 

H.E. Ambassador commended Qatar’s prominent role in current global geopolitics, particularly its efforts in mediation. She also expressed appreciation for Qatar’s continued support for Thailand, including the facilitation of the safe return of Thai nationals from the Gaza strip. H.E. the Minister of State welcomed H.E Ambassador to Qatar and reaffirmed Qatar’s continued support to Thailand and readiness to work closely with the Royal Thai Embassy in its endeavours.
