On 5 December 2024, the iconic landmarks of Doha were lit up with the flag of Thailand to commemorate the National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand, the birthday anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great and Thailand’s Father’s Day 5 December 2024. The Thai flag was lit up on the Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel and The Torch Doha - Aspire Zone.

The Royal Thai Embassy in Doha expresses sincere appreciation to the relevant authorities for their collaborations in lighting up the landmarks and celebrating the auspicious occasion which brought great joy and pride to the Thai community in Qatar.
