On 11 September 2023, H.E. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, hosted a luncheon for local media representatives in Qatar at the Benjarong Restaurant in the Dusit Hotel Doha. The attendees included representatives from Gulf Times, Qatar Tribune, and The Peninsula newspapers, as well as officials from the Royal Thai Embassy.

During this occasion, H.E. Ambassador exchanged views on the work of local media and strategies for building networks with various sectors in Qatar. He also emphasized the overall missions of the Royal Thai Embassy in promoting relations between Thailand and Qatar, with a particular focus on areas of mutual interest such as trade and investment, small and medium-sized entrepreneurship, medical and hospitality services, and food security. These align well with Thailand’s priority agenda as well as Qatar's National Vision 2030.

The Royal Thai Embassy places great importance on establishing networks with various sectors in Qatar, including local media, which plays a vital role in communicating the missions and activities of the Embassy. This initiative aims to enhance awareness of Thailand's role and potential in various dimensions among the people of Qatar.
