Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar met with Group CEO of Qatar Airways

On 20 December 2023, H.E. Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, met with Engineer Badr Al Meer, Group CEO of Qatar Airways at the Headquarters Office of Qatar Airways. Both sides discussed the overall relations between Thailand and Qatar, Qatar Airways’ role in enhancing people-to-people relations, ways to ensure the well-being of over 2,000 Thai nationals in the organization, and opportunities to strengthen cooperations between Thailand and Qatar. This includes introducing new flight routes and increasing flight frequency between both countries.

During the meeting, H.E. Ambassador also expressed his congratulations to Engineer Al Meer on assuming his duties and being elected as member of the Board of Governors at the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and a member of the Executive Committee of the Arab Air Carriers’ Organization (AACO) which Engineer Al Meer also responded with reiteration of Qatar Airways’ full and continued support for the Embassy's endeavours.
