On 7 October 2024, the Royal Thai Embassy in Doha organized a ceremony on the occasion of the Navamindra Maharaja the Great Day, 13 October 2024. As a tribute to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great, H.E. Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, presided over the ceremony and led the Embassy's officials, staff, and spouses in paying homage to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great.
His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua officially designated 13 October as "Navamindra Maharaj Day" in memorial and honour of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great.
