On 30 September 2023, Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, and his spouse hosted a dinner for Thai senior executives employed by the Qatar Company for Airports Operation and Management of the Hamad International Airport (HIA) to strengthen networking and enhance collaboration on mutual interests. During the dinner, both sides exchange views and insights regarding Qatar's significant economic and aviation industry developments, airport operation and management experiences, as well as ways to increase the presence of Thai executives in Qatar’s aviation industry.

Opened in 2014, Hamad International Airport serves as Qatar's primary operations hub for its national carrier, Qatar Airways, and stands as one of the world's major aviation hub. It facilitates over 360,000 flights to more than 170 destinations worldwide and welcomes over 30 million passengers annually.
