On 2 December 2023, H.E. Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, presented the Volunteer Consul Award 2023 certificate to Mr. Noppadol Penglong, President of the Thai community in Qatar. This award is a token of appreciation for his contributions in supporting the Thai community in Qatar and assisting with the consular work of the Embassy, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Over the decades, Mr. Penglong has voluntarily provided guidance and assistance for Thai nationals in Qatar, including information related to consular matters for the Thai community.

The “Volunteer Consul Award 2023" is an award initiated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand to celebrate a Thai or foreign national who voluntarily and consistently dedicate oneself to supporting the consular work of Royal Thai Embassies and Royal Thai Consulates-General.
