Transit visa is issued to applicants who wish to enter the Kingdom for the following purposes:

1. To travel in transit through the Kingdom in order to proceed to the country of destination or to re-enter his/her own country
2. To participate in sports activities
3. The person in charge or crew of a conveyance coming to a port, station or area in the Kingdom

Duration of Visa Process: E-Visa processing time is up to 10 working days and up to 14 working days if required documents are incomplete.

Visa Fee: 130 QAR per entry

Required Documents:

1. Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document (Passport/travel document must have validity of more than 6 months on travel date)
2. Photograph taken within the last six months
3. Document indicating current location (Valid Residency Permit Card/QID)
4. Travel booking confirmation (Round-trip ticket)
5. Proof of accommodation (Hotel booking/invitation letter from family or friend in Thailand)
6. For participants in sport activities: Letter from sport competition organizer in Thailand / For persons in charge or crew of a conveyance coming to a port: Employment certificate as crew

Important Note:

1. Visa fee is not refundable.
2. At the port of entry, foreigners entering Thailand under the transit visa category must be able to provide proof of sufficient finances for the duration of stay in Thailand equivalent to 10,000 THB (about 2,000 QAR) per person and 20,000 THB (about 3,000 QAR) per family.
3. Embassy staff/employees are not allowed to fill out any visa application form.
4. The Embassy reserves the right to approve or disapprove visa application without any prejudice.
5. The granting of visa is only a pre-entry clearance. It is not a permission to enter Thailand. Immigration authorities at the port of entry still reserve the right to refuse the entry into Thailand of any travellers with valid visa issued.
