The Royal Thai Embassy in Doha Organized Repatriation Flight for Thai Nationals

            On 22 May 2020, H.E. Mr. Nathapol Khantahiran, Ambassador of Thailand to the State of Qatar, together with officials from the Royal Thai Embassy in Doha, facilitated the repatriation flight for 213 Thai nationals at Hamad International Airport in Doha. The repatriation flight XJ239 operated by Thai Air Asia X departed Doha on 22 May 2020 at 09.00 hrs. and was scheduled to arrive at Don Muang Airport in Bangkok at 19.25 hrs. on the same day. The Royal Thai Embassy’s officials together with the airline staffs helped facilitate check-in process at the airport and distributed face masks and gloves for all passengers. Among the list of 213 passengers were 14 Thai-Muslim students aged between 14 - 17 years old who studied secondary school level in Qatar.   

            The Royal Thai Embassy in Doha wishes to express its gratitude to the Department of Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, the Department of Protocol, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, the Ministry of Interior of the State of Qatar, the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority, the Hamad International Airport and Thai Air Asia X for providing assistance and cooperation in making this repatriation flight possible.
