On 5 April 2016, H.E. Dr. Surin Pitsuwan, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand and Secretary-General of ASEAN, who currently serves as Special Envoy to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, paid his visit to the State of Qatar and had a meeting with H.E. Mr. Soltan Bin Saad Al-Muraiki, Minister’s Assistant for Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, in which both sides reviewed the bilateral relations and cooperation between Thailand and the State of Qatar under multilateral frameworks.
