During 23 - 26 September 2016, Dr. Pannet Pangputhipong M.D., Deputy Director-General of the Department of Medical Services, Ministry of Public Health of Thailand, led a delegation to Qatar to prepare for the Medical Services Project for Thai people in Qatar in March 2017. His Excellency Mr. Soonthorn Chaiyindeepum, Ambassador of Thailand, and officials of the Royal Thai Embassy also discussed preparations for the Project based on the success of earlier services that the Embassy organized for the Thai people in Qatar on 6 - 8 March 2015. On this occasion, the Royal Thai Embassy also arranged meetings with representatives of Thai and Foreign companies in Qatar which employ Thai workers in order to assess the living and health condition of the Thai workers as part of inputs for the medical services in March 2017. Dr. Pannet Pangputhipong and delegation expressed their readiness to bring the services to the Thai people in Qatar once again next year. The Royal Thai Embassy will further inform the Thai Community in Qatar of the detailed schedule of the medical services in March 2017 in due course.
