On 8 October 2016, Thailand National Under-21 Football Team, led by Miss Watanya Wongopasi, Team Manager, Mr. Worrawoot Srimaka, Head Coach as well as officials and journalists altogether 34 persons, visited Qatar for a friendly match with Qatar National Under-23 Football Team which was held on 10 October 2016. On this occasion, Mr. Soonthorn Chaiyindeepum, Ambassador of Thailand, and officials from the Royal Thai Embassy gave a warm welcome and hosted a luncheon in honour of the team on 9 October 2016.

 

For the friendly match with Qatar National Team on 10 October 2016, both teams played well. The result was a nil-nil draw. Ambassador of Thailand, officials of the Royal Thai Embassy with spouses, together with the fans of Thailand national football team in Qatar also went to give a support and cheering for them at the Aspire Zone football field.
