Thai Buddhist monks held religious ceremony for the Sri Lankan Buddhist community in Qatar

On 1 April 2017, the Royal Thai Embassy and the Embassy of Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka in the State of Qatar jointly organized a Buddhist ceremony by inviting Phraprommasith Sukkho, Abbot of Wat Saket Ratchaworamahawihan, Phradhammabodhivongsa, Abbot of Wat Thai Buddhagaya and Head of Dhammaduta Bhikkhus Thai Missionary in India-Nepal, Phrakittisophonvides, Head of Dhammaduta Bhikkhus Thai Missionary in Australia-Oceania, Phrawisuttisasanavides, Assistant Abbot of Wat Saket Ratchaworamahawihan, and Phra Piyoros Kanavuttikul, Secretary of Wat Thai Buddhagaya, to the Sri Lankan Embassy. Over 150 Buddhists from many nationalities participated in the event which includes morning and evening prays, Dhamma preaching and practicing the meditation with the Thai Buddhist monks. The Sri Lankan Buddhists in Qatar, in cooperation with the Embassy of Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, organized regular religious ceremonies for their people. However, it's more special this time with five Buddhist monks from Thailand blessed the event.
