On 5 December 2017 at 19.00 hrs (local time), the Royal Thai Embassy in Doha organised a Reception on the occasion of the National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand, the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, and Thailand’s Father’s Day at the St. Regis Hotel Doha. His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Sada, Minister of Energy and Industry, and His Excellency Dr. Ahmad Hassan Al-Hamadi, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, were present as the Guests of Honour representing the Government of the State of Qatar. The Reception was also attended by His Excellency Ambassador Ibrahim Yousif Abdullah Fakhroo, Director of the Protocol Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, and around 250 distinguished guests from members of the Diplomatic Corp and their spouses, officials and representatives of the Qatari governmental and private sectors, academics, local journalists, and the Thai community in the State of Qatar. 

 

His Excellency Mr. Soonthorn Chaiyindeepum, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand, delivered a speech paying tribute to His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, and made his remarks on the political situation in Thailand, Thailand’s economy and its potential, and bilateral relations between Thailand and the State of Qatar, focused on the exchange of visits and trade promotion.
