On 27 July 2018 at 11.00 hrs., the Royal Thai Embassy organized a ceremony to pay homage to His Majesty the King on the auspicious occasion of His Majesty’s 66th Birthday Anniversary at the Embassy. Mr. Chaturont Chaiyakam, Charge d'Affaires ad interim, led the Thai community to pay homage to the royal portrait before delivering a message to wish for the King’s good health and happiness and led the singing of a tribute song to His Majesty the King. Approximately 70 people from the Thai community and Friends of Thailand in Qatar attended the ceremony. A book of congratulations was also opened for signing by the Thai nationals during 22 - 28 July 2018.
On 28 July 2018, the Royal Thai Embassy, together with Thai nationals living in Qatar, donated food, clothes and personal care items to the low-income Pakistani and Iranian workers and their families in Qatar. The donation responds to the royal wish of His Majesty the King to instill the sense of sharing and doing good deed for the people in need without discrimination. The Royal Thai Embassy would also like to take this opportunity to express sincere thanks to the Thai nationals who donated food and personal care items to the low-income expatriate workers and their families.
