                 On 29 November 2017, the Princess Srinagarindra Award Foundation under the Royal Patronage held a joint press conference at the Department of Public Relations, Bangkok, to announce the Princess Srinagarindra Award Laureate 2017. On this occasion, Ms. Busadee Santipitaks, Director-General of the Department of Information, in her capacity as a Board of Trustee of the Princess Srinagarindra Award Foundation, together with Associate Professor Dr. Tassana Boontong, Deputy Chairperson and Secretary – General of the Princess Srinagarindra Award Foundation, Mrs. Nathaya Beokhaimook, Vice President of VVIP/VIP Travel Management and Planning Department, Thai Airways International PLC, and Mr. Titiporn Jutimanon, Director of Channel 9 MCOT HD, were present at the press conference.
                 This year, The Princess Srinagarindra Award 2017 is awarded to Professor Emeritus Dr. Euisook Kim, Professor Emeritus at College of Nursing, Yonsei University, Seoul, and Chairman for the Global Korean Nursing Foundation, from the Republic of Korea
                 Professor Emeritus Dr. Euisook Kim is a distinguished pioneer in nursing education and research in the Republic of Korea, and an exceptional leader in health policy at the national and international levels. She has been a health policy adviser to the Korean Ministry of Health and Welfare, vice-director of the National Hypertension Center, and a committee member of the National Health Insurance Corporation.
                 In addition, Professor Emeritus Dr. Euisook Kim’s has been recognized internationally. She is a board member of International Council of Nurses (ICN), representing more than 16 million nurses worldwide. She was one of the founding members of WHO Collaborating Center for Nursing Development and led the development of world health care policy related to the primary health care. She served as the standing committee member of the Organizing Committee, the Advisory Committee for Leadership Improvement, and the International Commissioner. She was also a regional executive board member of the International Planned Population Federation to improve reproductive health worldwide. During the last decade, she made great efforts to achieve the Millennium Development Goals in over 20 countries, including Ethiopia, Ghana, and Peru, through the development and operation of health workforce, strengthening programs and community-based maternal and child health programs.
                 The Princess Srinagarindra Award Ceremony 2017 will be held on 11 December 2017, at 16.00 hrs., at the Royal Palace. The ceremony will be presided over by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Siridhorn. In addition, the Princess Srinagarindra Award 2016 laureate will also be attending the forthcoming ceremony on 11 December 2017 to receive this prestigious Award.
