On 2 September 2026, H.E. Ms. Pensom Lertsithichai, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, signed the Book of Condolences at the Embassy of Nepal in Qatar following the devastating flash floods and mudslides in Nepal on 26 August 2026. H.E. Ambassador conveyed, on behalf of the Royal Thai Government and the people of Thailand, heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathy to Mr. Kumar Rai, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Nepal, as well as to the Government and people of Nepal. The gesture is reflective of the friendly relations and close ties at all levels between Thailand and Nepal, as well as the mutual support in times of prosperity and adversity.
