On 2 September 2026, H.E. Ms. Pensom Lertsithichai, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, presented a copy of her Letter of Credentials to H.E. Sultan Saad Al-Muraikhi, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The presentation marked the official commencement of her duties as Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on the close and cordial relations between the Kingdom of Thailand and the State of Qatar. H.E. Ambassador reaffirmed her firm commitment to further advancing bilateral relations, strengthening the momentum of cooperation, and exploring new areas of collaboration of mutual interest between the two countries. H.E. Minister of State warmly welcomed and congratulated H.E. the Ambassador on her assumption of duties and reaffirmed Qatar’s readiness to continue working closely with her and the Royal Thai Embassy in Doha.

Also present at the meeting were H.E. Ambassador Ibrahim Yousif Fakhro, Director of the Department of Protocol, as well as officials from the Royal Thai Embassy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar.
